The Ashlar R Vol. XIX Issue III
Area Meeting Mumbai
On Date 21st December 2024 an Area
meeting of Mumbai Lodges was held at after a
very long gap. All the Lodges in the mumbai
region registered for participation. It was as
full day event where the brethren participated
in large numbers.
The inauguration ceremony was done by
R.W.Bro. Subhash Saraf, The Regional
Grand Master.
The Chief Guest, was M.W.Bro.Vasudev J
Masurekar,OSM, R.W.Bro.M.S. Federal,
delivered an impactful talk titled "Masonry: A
Reality Check." He highlighted the pressing
challenges faced by Freemasonry today, with
a particular focus on the detrimental effects of
groupism within the community.
The keynote address was delivered by R.W.
Bro J.K. Devgupta, who provided an insightful
overview of what the brethren could anticipate
during the meeting. He emphasized the
importance of the session in addressing
critical issues and fostering unity among
members.
The Lodges showcased their activities and
engaged directly with the Regional Grand
Master (RGM), presenting their issues and

seeking solutions for better coordination. The
interactive nature of the event underscored
the importance of open dialogue and effective
collaboration within the Freemasonry
community.
The program featured expert speakers who
shared practical insights:
W.Bro.Surendra Mohan Mayapuri, ARGM
guided attendees on maintaining records for
inspections.
R.W.Bro.Mehernosh Patel, RGS explained
essential secretarial procedures and the
process for dispensations.
W.Bro. Manish Khemani, ARGM outlined the
Treasurer's role in managing Lodge finances.
W.Bro Chetan Arora, RGDoC demonstrated
protocols and etiquette for forming and
receiving of Regional Grand Deputation.
The event also highlighted the diligent efforts
of the Assistant Regional Grand Master
(ARGM) and Mumbai Lodge In-charge, who
worked tirelessly to ensure its success. And
W. Bro Viren Joshi, for organizing the
p r o j e c t o r, W. B r o R a j u l G o e n k a ,
W,Bro.Nishant Joshi, W.Bro.Rushab Patil
and W.Bro.Maulik Bhatu volunteered during
